Good afternoon everybody! We sailed out in the morning and spotted one Humpback Whale north of Hjalteyri! Further west, we spotted two more Humpback Whales and they resurfaced in the area around us several times, even very close to our boat. It was absolutely beautiful to get to see these Humpback Whales close up like this! Just as we started heading back towards Akureyri, we encountered another Humpback Whale, that we got to watch as it resurfaced again. So in total we spotted four different Humpback Whales on our tour in Eyjafjörður today.
The weather was sunny, but a bit windy when we sailed out and the wind picked up a lot in the afternoon, so we had to cancel our other departures for today. But we are excited to sail out again tomorrow!
