Good evening, we had an incredible afternoon in Eyjafjörður! The sea conditions were just perfect, flat sea, sun and great visibility.
We encountered at least three Minke Whales close to the green buoy while we were sailing out. A bit further north we encountered the first two Humpback Whales. And just south of Hjalteyri we spotted more and more Humpback Whale blows! There were plenty of them in the area all around us. In totaol we counted 15+ Humpbacks this afternoon. We saw whales near and far, even swimming in pairs or groups of up to five together and had stunning encounters! It was a spectacular and beautiful afternoon today with perfect weather!
