The sky was covered in clouds and a thick fog was in the fjord today. It was cold when we entered the fog and our passengers were happy to wear our warm overalls and to hold a nice hot chocolate in their hands. Like yesterday we could only find harbour porpoises. One appeared very close to the boat and we could see it quickly swim away moving a bit of water in a mirror like sea. The fog was not great for the visibility but was giving to the fjord a mystical silent atmosphere. In the express tour of this afternoon the fog was further out in the bay so we had a good visibility and nice views on the mountains. We saw like in previous day a lot of long-tailed ducks, black guillemots and northern fulmars. We stopped a few times to observe harbour porpoises but they were quite shy. During the way back we observed a couple of flocks of active birds. We stayed a bit on the second one to see if there was other animals than birds around, observing a big black-backed gull fighting for fish. We then saw a harbour porpoise porpoising, swimming fast at the surface, almost jumping to catch some fish. We went back and like this morning we gave complimentary tickets to our passengers.
