Good afternoon everyone! What a lovely, sunny day in Eyjafjörður! We were extremely fortunate with the weather today, we had clear blue sky, lots of sun and only a little wind, so the conditions to sail out were perfect.
Today, we encountered “Left hook” and “Snædís” again, two of our recent regulars in the fjord. They are both Humpback Whales and seem to enjoy our fjord just as much as we do! We spotted them around Svalbarðseyri. But even before that, we were able to see several Minke Whales just after leaving Akureyri.
We had some stunning encounters today, the whales came up to breathe close to our small RIB boat and on our way home to Akureyri we spotted Harbour Porpoises as well.
The weather is supposed to be amazing again tomorrow and we cannot wait to get back out on the water again!
