Hello hello nature lovers!! Today we had a wind and wave less day though sprinkled with a little rain. Regardless, perfect spotting conditions! As we sailed out into Eyjafjörður, we were surprised about a curious Minke whale, just outside of Akureyri harbour next to the hot water waterfall. Because it was quite a crowded spot after a few sightings we decided to sail on to try and spot something different. After quite a long trip we were a bit disappointed of not finding any whales close to home. So we sailed all the way out to Hauganes. And then BAM! A Humpback whale surfaced only 20m from the boat. Unfortunately because we had to go so far to find a whale we couldn’t stay too long with the big fella. Hence, we started making our way back to harbour with hundreds of Long Tailed ducks flying around us all together with some Guillemots. But just next to Hjalteyri OMG! another Humpback whale surfacing 100m from the rib, we stayed for a few dives only because we were already running late, but only few munits after in front of un yet another Humpback whale. So you know nothing better of running late on a tour to find more whales than ever!
