Hello all! The day started as misty but quiet. There was a serenity to the still waters and dark skies. Even tough we could feel the definite drop in temperature, we had perfect sailing conditions in Eyjafjörður. It was only towards the end of the second tour of the day that the wind started to pick up and changed directions. But no worries, the new guides and deckhands are becoming more and more proficient in understanding how the winds and swell work inside the fjord. We were lucky to find a pod of 5 harbour porpoises calmly feeding very close to Hólmosol on our way north. And on our way back, the minke whale Astra made a surprising appearance, resulting in a very close encounter where we could even feel the stink of the breath!
