Hello everyone! We had a great day out on the fjord with perfect sailing conditions, the sea was very flat and in the afternoon the sun came out to shine on our faces.
On the way north, we spotted Harbor Porpoises as well as plenty of birds such as Northern Fulmars on our tours today and we encountered two Humpback Whales just south of Hrísey. They resurfaced close to our boat and we got a very good look at them! One of them showed us its pectoral fins and a part of its stomach when it turned around on its back while surfacing!
In the afternoon, we were able to watch a sleeping Humpback Whale float at the surface, which was extremely nice and we got to see this whale very well. This was such a fantastic day with great whale encounters!
