Wow what a day in the fjord, sunshine and really calm waters in the morning. Close to the green buoy encountered Astra the Minke whale. After a short encounter we moved further north and close to Hrisey was when the spectacle began. We saw at least 4 Humpback whales of which one was flipper slapping. But at the same time we were surrounded by several groups of White beaked dolphins, perhaps around a 100! of them. There were even a few very small calves with some of the groups of dolphins. In the afternoon the dolphins had moved out again but the Humpback whales were still there. Once again one of the whales named Barney started putting up a show flipper slapping, tail slapping, tail lobbing and even some breaching to top it off.
