Hello there! The conditions were perfect when we sailed out this morning, the sea was flat and we had great visibility. In the afternoon, the wind picked up a little bit, but we still had nice conditions.
We saw two Minke Whales close to the green buoy and plenty of Harbour Porpoises on the way north today. Just south of Hrísey, were able to spot a sleeping Humpback Whale this morning! This whale was resting on the surface and even ended up floating very close to our boat, it was fantastic to watch and we got an extremely good look at this individual!
In the afternoon, we saw three different Humpback Whales very close to each other, one of them tail slapped and two of them even went for synchronized dives - what a show!
