Hello everyone! Today we started the day with the best weather conditions, mirror flat sea and sun! Yes, summer is still here. Thanks to these conditions we were able to spot the very fast and shy harbour porpoises and a very calm humpback whale not very far from Hjalteyri, we turned off the engine of the boat few times and enjoyed drifting with her. What a magic moment! On the way back we saw a minke whale, she was traveling south quite close to shore. In the afternoon, the fjord got a bit busier, as we could spot up to 4 different humpback whales south Hrisey. Of course we shared the sailing with so many seabirds, northern fulmars, arctic terns, kittiwakes, arctic skuas and black guillemots.
