Whale hello there! So today we sailed off from our lovely Akureyri into our even more beautiful Eyjafjörður, with quite the rainy and windy weather but not too many waves. But you know, sailing in Iceland is the real Viking experience. And especially today we were pretty lucky because we managed to see 3 different species of cetaceans on the fjord! the sightings started just next to Hjalteyri where we spotted an extra sneaky Vestra (one of our resident Minke whales), but it was being a little sneaky so we kept sailing on until we found a lovely Humpback whale just East Hrísey island and it even gave us a breach!! But just a little NE of our position we got word that our rib team found a Blue whale just in front of Dalvík!! So indeed it was a truly whaletastic day here in our lovely Eyjafjörður.
