Hello there! This morning, the day turned up looking like a summer dream. The water was so still that it mirrored the mountains like an optical illusion. The sun was shining and spotting conditions were unmatched. In the vicinity of Hauganes, a minke whale made a surprise appearance when we were on our way north of Hrísey! And northeast of the island, we later found a humpback whale, which seemed as curious as us. And even though the wind picked up in the afternoon, we were not disappointed by the close encounter that we experienced with the same humpback whale. Please never leave us, humpies!
