Whale hello there! We sailed out of Akureyri harbor today in a very cloudy day with all of the mountains covered in fog but it looks like the Elves were in a good mood because the fog started to lift so we ended up with a mirror like Eyjafjörður and a very sunny sky. Also during the trip we saw so many cute Guillemot chicks all around and just North Hjalteyri we found our resident Minke whale as friendly as ever Vestra! And she must have also been in a good mood because she kept coming close to Holmasol one time even only 5 m from the boat! But that was not it because meanwhile our other team was just north Hrísey Island enjoying the company of some crazy White-beaked dolphins and a Humpback whale.

Konsúll sailed out at 13:00, we had such a beautiful sail. Flat sea and sunny weather. Feels like summer in the air. Right next to Hrólfssker at the entrance of the fjord we saw three Humpback Whales. We had such a nice time with these whales who were calmly feeding in the area while we had a nice time looking at them. Amazing day like always here with our giant creatures.
