Great conditions all day today. No or very light wind, overcast but great visibility. The sea was very flat as well.

Still lots of Whales in the fjord but numbers have dropped a little bit since yesterday. Maybe they are more spread out, but most of the Humpback Whales we encountered were in the same location like yesterday. In total we might have seen 10 close, but we saw more blows further north in the distance. very normal humpback behavior today, with some trumpeting but also another sound that I’ve heard only once.

One individual was by himself, but a pair crossed his path. He started trumpeting and then bend his body like a banana, head and tail were out of the water. And he also made this weird sound when breathing out. Almost sounded like a turbo charger.

There was one special encounter where a group of 5 Humpbacks came directly towards our rip boat and all of them went for a dive right next to us. Unreal that one.
