Today we departed from a very calm and flat Akureyri, in to our lovely Eyjafjörður. With zero wind and a calm and flat föjd, as we sailed north we started to have a little bit of swell but not much.
It was a day with many different sightings for every boat and every tour! boats traveled all the way uo to South Hrísey were we had 4 amazing Humpback whales calmly swimming and surfacing quite close to the boats. But that was not all because on our way back we also encountered 2 Minke whales one that was feeding super close to the boat by the Rauðavík area and a second one being quite sneaky and surfacing just North of Svalbarðreyri.
And of course as it is common in flat days, we had along the rides many sightings of our lovely Hnísa (Harbor porpoise).
Departures of the day: Classic-0900, 1300 &1400 o’clock. Express-1000 & 1400 o’clock.
