Finally a sunny windless day in the fjord! This winter has been incredibly challenging with the weather at times. but today we had absolutely dream conditions for sailing. While heading out, we got a phone call from a local person about a sighting of roughly 5 Humpback whales south of Hrisey. We aimed to reach the area as soon as possible and at first we spotted one whale travelling alone but very frequently coming to the surface. After few dives we spotted two more blows in the distance and decided to follow. It was again Inkblot and Van Whalen - our star winter whales! The first one hasn’t been identified yet. Perhaps needs a new name?:)
