Dear beautiful readers of the blog.

The conditions today were pretty awesome, we had nice glassy seas with minimal wind. The wind picked up a little through the day but the seas were so flat that we could see everything that popped up.

We encountered a load of Harbour Porpoise on our way out as well as many different birds, but, we treated with a real Humpback Whale party once we got to the waters around Hrisey. There were around 12 of these bad boys swimming around and we were blessed with several close encounters, including a particularly awesome one on Holmasol. A sleeping whale approached the boat and glided around the bow, around a meter from the surface. She was fully submerged but the water was so crisp that you could see the complete unbroken outline, a memorable experience. As well as this we saw a variety of different behaviours including: lunge feeding; regular fluking; sleeping and even distant breach off in the distance.

Classic tours: 0900, 1300, 1400 & 1700 Express tours: 1000, 1400.
