We started the day on our biggest boat Holmasol this morning at 9am. Moderate to strong southern winds were dominating our fjord today, but sailing conditions have been good. Even the sun came out to provide some great views of the area. On our way out we spotted lots of Harbour Porpoises feeding. Further north next to Hrisey we encountered a Minke Whale just strolling around. Even further north of Hrisey two Humpback Whales gave us a lovely greeting from only 50-100m away, right next to the boat. We could even hear their breath. And suddenly, surprise! just 5 minutes after leaving the Humpback whales, a group of White beaked dolphins popped up right next to us! Just another beautiful day up here in the north of Iceland.
