What a day! We sailed out today in sunny and calm conditions with great visibility. The wind picked up a little in the afternoon, but we still had good conditions.
We had amazing encounters in the morning. We spotted one Humpback Whale north of the green buoy. More Humpbacks were encountered north of Hauganes. As we arrived in this area, we got greeted with pec slapping right away! There, we spotted two Humpback Whales swimming together, they surfaced right next to each other! One of them kept resurfacing right in front of our boat and was only meters away from us!
It was extremely exciting!
Additionally, we saw Puffins during our tours as well as Harbour Porpoises.
Our RIB Tour also saw another Humpback Whale breach! There really is nothing for us to add to these encounters, we simply saw the best of the best today. It was an unbelievable day in Eyjafjörður.
