Good afternoon! Today we sailed out in calm weather with great sailing conditions! In the afternoon, the sun even came out here in Eyjafjörður.
In the morning, we spotted one Minke Whale south of Hjalteyri as well as plenty of Puffins and Harbour Porpoises on the way! North of Grenivík, we encountered three Humpback Whales as well as another Minke Whale!
On our afternoon tours, we saw more Harbour Porpoises and at least three Humpback Whales east of Hrísey! There, we also got to see a breach and a tail slap!!! What a beautiful encounter! Just as we were about to leave after seeing the last goodbye-fluke, one of the Humpbacks came up for a breath close to our RIB boat, what a beautiful surprise.
We cannot wait for our tours tomorrow to see what we get to experience in our fjord!
