We had a beautiful day with calm weather conditions!
Our tours were super exciting today! We sailed out to find Long-finned Pilot Whales south of Hauganes! What a great way to start the day! This species is was last encountered by us last year, so they are not some of our most commonly seen cetaceans in Eyjafjörður. We encountered a really huge pod, which was heading south throughout the day.
Additionally, we spotted four different Humpback Whales, also south of Haugaues. Two of them were even swimming together in the afternoon. It was truly spectacular, we got to have incredible encounters with these Humpback Whales. One of them was diving below our RIB boat and we could clearly see its pectoral fins just below us!
What a day! This was absolutely fantastic!
