Today, we sailed out in good weather conditions. It was a mostly calm and sunny day in our fjord!
Just north of Svalbarðseyri, we first encountered the two male Orcas, that we already saw here in the last few days! This was incredible. They are still in our fjord and we got to see them on all of our tours today. This is still so special to us and a very exciting species in our fjord!
We encountered several Humpback Whales during our tours as well. They were between the green buoy and south of Hrísey throughout the day. In the morning, we even witnessed a Humpback Whale breach close to our boat!!! How exciting can one day be?!
But it got even better, when we spotted four Humpbacks swimming together in the afternoon. They went for deep dives, lifting their flukes one after the other!
We genuinely are thrilled about what is happening in the fjord these days and are curious to see which species we get to encounter tomorrow!
