There was a bit of cold wind and small waves in the fjord today, but we had overall good weather conditions to sail out.
To our pleasant surprise, we saw the first blow just after leaving our harbor, just outside of Akureyri!
While we approached this cetacean, we actually spotted a second blow. How exciting!
We encountered two Humpback Whales by our harbor and the hot waterfall, swimming together. They kept resurfacing together, deep diving one after the other.
We had plenty of great encounters with one of the highlights being the two Humpbacks surfacing just in front of us and turning towards us to approach our boat, before they lifted their flukes right next to our boat! We even felt their blows!
Incredible day on the water today, we cannot wait for our tour tomorrow!
