It was another cold day in Eyjafjörður, but we had very good sailing conditions nevertheless.
Just after sailing out, we spotted the first blow north of Akuryeri. We encountered the same Humpback Whale, that has been spotted in our harbor and outside of Akureyri in the recent days.
The Humpback showed some very calm and potential resting behavior at first. We had a few very close encounters and also briefly spotted a pod of Harbor Porpoises, before sailing further out to continue our search in Eyjafjörður.
On our way back, we encountered the same Humpback Whale again just outside of Akureyri. This time it was more active, resurfacing several times before diving deeper, showing us the fluke a number of times.
We had plenty of very nice encounters and also had a close look at the hot waterfall on the way back to Akureyri!
