We sailed out in cold, but overall good weather conditions today with a little bit of wind.
Today, we spotted a pod of Harbor Porpoises, right as we were leaving the harbor.
Additionally, we encountered two Humpback Whales in the harbor of Akureyri! These were our frequently seen Humpbacks Jóli and Honza.
We are always happy to spot them, especially when they are swimming together, like they did today. Always resurfacing together and coming up to breathe very, very frequently!
As a highlight, they showed feeding behavior and were lunge feeding together!!! How exciting! This was truly incredible and a really special encounter. We are still thrilled and cannot wait to sail out again to spot our beautiful whales in Eyjafjörður!
