Today, we sailed out with a bit of southern wind, but overall fine weather conditions.
We spotted the first blows even before the tour! The two Humpback Whales, which we saw in the last days, were still in Pollurinn. So we spotted them in our harbor even before boarding!
We got to watch them feed actively again. At first, they were swimming together, but later split up and were feeding with some distance between them, still both in the harbor area.
It was truly magical to see them lunge feed right in front of us! What a spectacle.
We sailed a bit further north after a while in order to search further out. On our way back to Akureyri, we encountered the same two Humpbacks just outside of our harbor, by the warm waterfall!
It was such an incredibly exciting tour, with many super close encounters. We could not have wished for more today!
