Dear Winter, please say like this! Today we had another incredible tour with our two favorite humpback whales that continue to stay close by Akureyri. The storm from yesterday didn’t calm down completely yet so we started the tour knowing we might encounter some wind spots but it was actually way better than we expected. The whalespopped up just by the corner of the harbour, it took us no time to find them and we had plenty of opportunities to see them. Today they weren’t very active and slowly drifting towards north, we passed by the dog park area and eventually turned back just south of Svalbardseyri. Everyone enjoyed the few last encounters when the whales popped up actually very close to us. They were surfacing calmly and frequently and it looked like after few days of intense feeding they were just resting today. Beautiful day out there.
