Another fantastic and even sunny day in the fjord with good weather conditions.
Today, we encountered the two Humpback Whales again very close to town, they were just north of Akureyri. The Humpbacks were busy feeding and surfaced really often. We got to see them close up, lunge feeding in the area, lifting flippers and flukes!
After a while with the Humpbacks, we sailed further out and spotted one Northern Bottlenose Whale just a bit further north than the Humpbacks! Incredible. We had really close encounters with the Northern Bottlenose Whale as it surfaced frequently, even right in front of our boat! It is unbelievably exciting to see the Bottlenose Whale again.
On our way back, we encountered the two Humpbacks again, watching them feed and resurface several times before heading back to Akureyri.
