During our tour today, the weather conditions were mostly snowy and there was some swell in the fjord.
But we spotted five different Humpback Whales south of Hrísey! One of them was seen from the distance, but the other four were close to us. We could see three of them swimming together again, surfacing altogether at the same time, while the fifth Humpback was also swimming by itself in the same area as the group.
We had fantastic encounters with the Humpbacks surfacing close to our boat, lifting their flukes for the deep dives just in front of us a few times. What a spectacle!
