Today, the weather conditions were great with a calm fjord and even sunshine!
Also the whales were fantastic. We spotted five Humpbacks swimming together southeast of Hrísey! We had several close encounters with this group of Humpback Whales even turning towards us to approach our boat. An absolutely incredible sight! Everyone on board was very excited when they lifted their tails for their deep dives right next to our boat.
We got to enjoy the encounters while the sun was shining on our faces, which has been more than rare recently. Some of our passengers also got very creative with whale name suggestions and we are always happy about ideas to name the whales that we see and identify on the tours here in our fjord!
