Windy day in the fjord! Today we sailed out in a southern wind pushing us out in the north. How convenient! As easy as it was to get further out, on our way back we got some serious splashes here and there from the sea. Today we found 2 Humpback whales! Not easy to spot or to follow, we ended up having one great encounter with the whale close by Hrisey and spotted another blow in the distance behind us close to Hjalteyri. The whale that was keeping us company has vanished in the splashes of the choppy sea and though we took a chance to look for the other one in more sheltered waters, we didn’t make it to find it therefore we offered everyone a complimentary ticket to join us again for free in Akureyri or Reykjavik as we know how great it could have been if the weather has more mercy.
