The weather today was great. A small wind from the South East didn’t really hamper our sea conditions; mostly they were glassy.
The situation was very similar to yesterday, yet this time there were 5 Humpback Whales, in the same area between the Green Buoy and Hjalteyri. In the afternoon this number dropped to 4 but the tours were mostly the same. We saw the whales at a range of distances, given the luxury of the sea conditions to stay mostly stationary without having to move. Great tours all round.
We also encountered a Minke Whale fleetingly at the end of both RIB tours on our return south around Svalbarðseyri.
