Weather: Patches of wind from the South in the morning around Akureyri and light northern wind around Hrisey. Overcast cloudy skies. Cold negative temperatures.
Throughout the day we found a variety of species spread around the fjord. The first Humpback Whale was found around Hjalteyri in the morning, followed by 3 more in the area between Hauganes and Höfði. The afternoon was spent with these whales, however, in the morning we also ventured a little further North where 4 more Humpbacks could be found at the Southern tip of Hrisey. There were many Harbour Porpoises throughout and a Minke Whale around Dagverðareyri in the afternoon.
