We had a stunning day today, sailing out with the sunrise in cold, but calm as well as sunny weather conditions.
Just by Hauganes, we spotted plenty of blows! We counted a total of 12 Humpback Whales in this area today!
Some of them were swimming by themselves, a few of them in pairs, some in groups of three or four, swimming and resurfacing together! What a tour! They resurfaced in the area all around us, not letting us wait long in between encounters. They ended up spreading out a bit in the area, but we still spotted blows near and far! A few of the Humpbacks came to the surface close to our boat, Konsúll, making it possible for us to watch them close-up.
On the way back, we additionally briefly saw one Minke Whale by the green buoy.
