Hello whale enthusiasts, today we sailed in a bit of a cooler weather -6 degrees Celsius. The water was calm and there was almost no wind. In such weather it is a pleasure to go whale watching.

We saw the first whale pod north of Hjalteyri..And then more and more...We had 9 humpback whales around us..It was amazing to see so many whales , since we know, that most of them have gone south. Such groups are seen more in October, when the whales slowly move south to mate and then in the spring, when they return...We saw their various tail fins. And some as if they were painted by the artist himself.. we didn't even have to watch where the whales surfaced, we heard them before we could see them.. weather like this helps a lot.. so we just listened to the whales' breaths and enjoyed their presence

We can't wait to see what the whales surprise us with tomorrow.
