Hello whale enthusiasts,

Today we went whale watching in amazing weather. It was almost windless and the water surface was like a mirror. Snow was flying here and there.

Today we found whales north of Hjalteyri. And not just one. But six humpback whales. In this weather we had the opportunity to hear and enjoy every whale's breath. We also had the opportunity to observe a group of four and two humpback whales, which sometimes joined together in one group only to split up again. Humpback whales are baleen whales. These whales usually swim alone. It is very rare to see whales in such a group and enjoy their closeness. With the engine turned off, the whales had no shame at all in coming up close to us. And the best thing to finish..The humpback whales said goodbye to us very impressively and very close to our boat..The guests had the opportunity to see them in their full beauty..I think, I'm not the only one who took unforgettable experiences from the tour..

And what will tomorrow bring us?
