Hello all whale enthusiasts,

Today's weather was similar to yesterday's. Temperature 4 degrees, wind from the south and waves around 2.5 meters.

So we set off north with the expectation of what today would bring us. We received information from other boats that they had seen a whale close to Rauðavík. With a scan of the surroundings, we sailed in this direction, but still with full caution, in case, we would see a whale's blow sooner. When we arrived closer to another Whale Watching boat, we waited for a while and watched where the whale would emerge from.. And then we saw the whale's blow, its back and dorsal fin of Humpback Whale about 70 m near the boat. A few more breaths and the whale disappeared under the water surface. But before that, it managed to show us its majestic and unique whale's tail. We had the opportunity to observe this whale in typical whale behavior..a few breaths and then back to the depths of the sea. But we also observed this whale during its migration..then you see the whale exhale at longer intervals and without showing its tail fin/ without sinking into the depths. So the humpback whale showed us two different ways of behavior and the guests could notice and learn what the whale is doing at that moment.

Yesterday I wrote that I was curious about what Christmas miracle the whales would bring us today.
And I think that for many guests, today's time spent with the whales was the biggest Christmas present.

For me definitely:-)
