We had northern wind today, creating some waves in the fjord.
But sailing out was so worth it! We sailed to the area southeast of Hrísey, the same area we went to in a lot of the recent days.
There, we again spotted plenty of blows! We counted around 10 Humpback Whales in the area, seeing blows all around. We had good and close encounters with six of them, four of which were seen swimming together while we were there! We saw more blows north of us, but enjoyed spending time with the whales closer to us. We spotted the Humpbacks resurface a number of times before sailing back to Akureyri, this time with the wind in our back.
Simply beautiful.
