Today, it was a little windy in our fjord, but the sun was out and we had good overall conditions.
During our tour, we spotted our two Humpback Whales again close to Akureyri. We saw the first blow just outside the small boat harbor! They were actively feeding right in front of our eyes! Such a beautiful start of the tour.
We watched these two Humpbacks for a while, as they slowly made their way further south towards Pollurinn.
We sailed further out to continue the search for cetaceans and on the way back, we spotted the two Humpback Whales once again just outside of town. On this tour, we had fantastic and close encounters. It’s incredible to get a sense of the size of these Humpback Whales as they resurface right next to us or lunge feed in front of our boat!
We are more than excited for our upcoming tours!
