Góðan daginn everyone,

today was not as easy for us when it comes to weather, as we would wish it to be. We were facing southwestern gusts that made the sailing rather memorable, some of today’s adventurers were leaving a bit wet, yet with a big smile!

But apart from the weather, it is good to mention, that everything went in the favor of everyone. We started by spotting one Humpback whale quite close to the long-closed old fish factory in Hjalteyri. And as we know lately, this part of the fjord has proven to be a good place to spot some cetaceans.

We had only spent here a little time before encountering two more Humpback whales shortly followed by a Minke whale lunge feeding further North of Hjalteyri. The whales were close and pulled quite a show, one of them even threw its tail and made a splash that even an elephant wouldn’t feel ashamed of.

Another beautiful day in our northern paradise
