Today’s weather started extremely flat and blue sky with a Northern wind that increased into the afternoon.

Around Hjalteyri there was a large amount of Humpback Whale activity, initially approximately 6 whales increasing to around 10 in the afternoon. Two whales were swimming in a pair, however, all the whales were within a couple of hundred meters of one another. In addition, there was a secret bonus humpback just around the corner from the harbour. In the afternoon these whales spread around a bit more with the group surface feeding now further north around Rauðavik.
