We sailed from Akureyri in a Northern wind cold morning. With a choppy sea, into our beautiful Eyjafjörður.
But thanks to their very thick blubber, the whales don´t mind the cold. Today, we saw 3 Humpback Whales.
Our first sighting was a very relaxed Humpback Whale travelling North east of Rauðavík. To avoid disturbing the Humpback during its rest, we joined 2 more Humpback Whales inside Rauðavík and one of these three, was the lovely Disy, who as always was very dramatically overfluking, lifting the fluke extremely high above the water surface before going for its deep dive.
