Sunday, 1 September

The morning brought some dramatic landscapes, as usual in Iceland, fast-moving clouds in the wind and the sun trying to make its way through them. We could ask for better weather in the morning to be honest, RIB boats could not go out because the wind was too strong, but Konsull (our smallest large boat in the fleet) was able to go out and it was worth it!
It was a wet ride with many beautiful encounters just North of Green Buoy. This is a perfect example of an authentic Icelandic experience in the natural habitat of these wonderful animals, definitely unforgettable. Adventurous is the best word to describe this trip.
Late afternoon trip along with Konsull went out and the weather became nicer to us. We still got decent splashes into our smiling faces, but what does it matter when you are looking at 5+ Humpback Whales? Some of these encounters were just ridiculously close. Wonderful time it was.
Hoping for some stories like this in the near future!
