The morning sea conditions were nearly perfect as the surface possessed a smooth glassy finish from Akureyri to Hjalteyri. Further than this there was a little more wind, but, the most significant change was the Northern swell which has been prominent from previous days.
Friday the 13th… spooky, but, nothing out of the ordinary on our tours thankfully. The morning tours were spent around Hauganes and Grenivik, where there were 2 and 4 Humpback Whales, respectively.
We also found a sleeping Humpback in the area around Hjalteyri and a Minke Whale North West of this on our return south. In addition, a second Minke Whale was seen surface-feeding south of the Green Buoy.
