Hello all whale enthusiasts..

Today we had a wind from the north, so on the way to the whales we also had moderate waves.

In the morning and also in the afternoon, we had the opportunity to see Humpback Whales near Haugenes.. And not just one.. There were three feeding in this area.. Some came to take a closer look at us.. We had the opportunity to look at their hair..:- ) What? Do whales have hair? Yes, they have...although not as many as us humans, that would be a special whale, don't you think? but they have...You can also notice in the photo the bumps on their head..each bump,, tubercles,, is one hair follicle..Interesting, isn't it? These hairs work like whiskers ...so they are sensory hairs..

What an amazing day with our whale friends...
