Happy Tuesday everyone!

It has been a blast since September started and today’s weather went from cloudy to full sunshine mode withing an hour. Everything developed just as needed since the morning so we could provide the perfect unforgettable moments for anyone interested in seeing our wildlife here in Eyjafjörður.

What happened yesterday pretty much repeated today, it seems like 7+ Humpback Whales are all hanging out southeast of Hjalteyri. Very often we saw 2 of them swimming side by side and it was really awesome to see so many of them interacting and very frequently surfacing in front of our boats.

In the afternoon, we came to the same scene once again and one could say that it was just as good as it gets, many close encounters and this all was finished with an ultimate once-upon-a-year sight. It started with an encounter of 4 Humpback Whales swimming super close to each other, then they swam further away from Hjalteyri in the South-eastern direction, we saw all of them diving one after each other and then the unthinkable happened - double breach, literally a Hollywood type of synchronized ballerina thing. I have seen this for the first time and all I am gonna say is that it was just ridiculously good, but it came out of nowhere, so you will have to believe that it happened as no-one has taken any footage/picture of it.

It was a good day.
