Perfect sailing conditions today with hardly any wind and a flat sea.
Southeast of Hrísey, we spotted several blows and counted six Humpback Whales! Incredible encounters, watching them swim together. There was quite a bit of movement within this group during their deep dives, meaning that first we saw them all surface together, then one by itself, then four and two together and so on… Always the same six Humpbacks in different, rearranged constellations. We had unbelievable encounters with them, seeing their pectoral fins underwater as they swam close to our boat Konsúll, moving past us as we had our engine turned off, just watching these beautiful cetaceans.
We can’t wait to see what we will encounter tomorrow!
