Today’s adventure was a beautiful reminder of how dynamic and unpredictable nature can be. We set sail with the wind coming from the north, a crisp chill in the air. The waves were small, making for a smooth and pleasant ride as we navigated through the fjord. The temperature hovered around 2°C, with a light snowfall that added a soft, magical touch to the already stunning landscape.
As we made our way through the fjord, we noticed that a part of the area around Dalvik was covered in a thick fog. While we didn’t sail directly into it, the fog hung over that section of the fjord, creating a mysterious and captivating sight. The contrast between the clear waters we were sailing through and the fog in the distance made the whole experience feel even more surreal.
Our mission for the day was clear: to find whales. We spent the entire tour searching the waters from beginning to end, hopeful that we’d be able to share a glimpse of these magnificent creatures with our guests. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we didn’t spot any whales this time.
However, the journey was still incredibly rewarding. The serene beauty of the fjord, combined with the changing weather, created an atmosphere that was nothing short of enchanting. Though we didn’t encounter any whales today, we’re hopeful to have our guests back soon so we can share with them the incredible wildlife of this area and, hopefully, give them the unforgettable experience of seeing the whales in their natural habitat
