Today, we sailed out into a serene fjord, where the temperature was a crisp -2°C, and the water was as calm as a lake, so still we could see every movement beneath the surface. It was a perfect setting for a peaceful day on the water. As we cruised along, we were lucky enough to spot two groups of harbor porpoises, some of them small babies swimming alongside their parents. These graceful creatures were moving in circles, likely hunting for food, and we spent some time watching their playful behavior.
After enjoying the porpoises’ company, we sailed further north, hoping to find something bigger. Unfortunately, our search for larger cetaceans didn’t yield any sightings today. But, as always with nature, we remain hopeful that tomorrow will bring a new opportunity to witness the majestic beauty of the larger whales. Until then, we continue to appreciate the smaller wonders of the fjord, and look forward to what the next day might bring.
