Waking up in Eyjafjördur with some clouds on the sky and the wind picking up. Some waves made the sail out of the fjord an adventure in the morning, but it was completely worth it once we had one of the best encounters with a humpback whale. Literally the animal was breaching for over an hour!! What a beautiful display Tequila Blanca showed today. Together with the breaches it did some flipper slapping too. At the same we could see several humpback whale blows. The wind gave us a break and we could sail easily through the afternoon and evening. Another humpback whale was breaching 12 times in a raw in the afternoon tour. Some other animals were feeding in the area coming up to breath and showing beautiful flukes. Definitely a special day in the capital of the north. Looking forward to go tomorrow and see more of these wonderful animals, you are more than welcome to join us!
